The Glory! 9 Aug 06

One more day to Singapore Birthday!!! Woohoo (Why am I so excited about it ar??) hahahaha…Sparkling fireworks will once again light up at the heart of the Stadium tomorrow…I love watching live fireworks, though it’s just a few split seconds but that few moments is more than enough to make me feel contented and happy! ^_^

And…And, not only that….I’m looking forward to the item perform by our “Soka Association”. This item is not to be miss, it is made up of 1,200 strong Men from the Young Men Division and Mans division bringing much joy, UNITY and hopes through their formations, lightings and not forgetting the humanistic tower layers that will definitely touch the hearts of many who watch NDP, be in at home or live.

One more day to achieving Glory Victory, go all the way, guys!!!

Another "Monday"....wooooo

It’s another Monday!  Time to get down and serious with work after a busy weekend!  Weekends has always been a fruitful one for me, packed and occupied with activities and trainings etc.  I never felt my life filled with meaningful and beautiful tasks/missions which I haven’t really done or tried before.  I can see myself growing each day and have learnt to look at things from different perspectives.

The duration to our Concert in September is not too far away and the days are getting nearer each day.  And my stress level is also getting higher too, hahahaha….I guess the other Sunflower Sisters feel the same way as I do!

All of us are working very hard towards the success of the concert, especially our “Choreographers”, sections ICs and not forgetting our dearest Lilian and Isabel.  They have been putting in efforts to make this concert happen…the patience, understanding and concern they have given us is fantastic!  At times, I felt really bad of myself for not being able to perform up to standard for the scenes I’m involved in, especially during the run through at the dance studio.  I felt I can do better if I do more revision at home.  Keke, well, I won’t let myself to be defeated or get affected that easily, I’m going to work even harder to remember every single steps that are being taught for the different scenes and I can and I will do even better for the next up coming run through.  Having a strong life force condition, wisdom, earnest Daimoku, Self-discipline and inner transformation is what I need to make this happen.  =)  I can do it!!!

“Enjoy what is there to enjoy and suffer what is there to suffer”….

Live Life to the Fullest!

A Musical Journey - Sound Waves

Erm...time for a short break, last Friday, I attended a Dance Concert” @ Esplanade Theatre with some of my “Sunflower Sisters”.  The concert was fantastic and I’m very impressed and motivated by the way the Dancers moved and the way they portrait their emotions when they danced.  This is exactly what we need for our upcoming concert.  Kekeke....*wink*

PA, the Singapore Indian Orchestra and Choir and the rest of PA TALENTS’ artistes have joined hands with some of the illustrious local talents to stage SOUNDWAVES, a fascinating showcase of local music and dance.  I would say this musical journey is refreshing, as it presents the face of

Singapore

– going global while confidently retaining our common Asian heritage.

Keke, the best part was…I was immense by Dick Lee voice singing his own version of “Rose Rose I Love You” a.k.a “Mei Gui, Mei Gui Wo Ai Ni.  It is sung in English accompanied by a multi-ethnic ensemble.  Keke…I have too many to list down…kekeke…

Life Force....

Which life state conditions do you currently belongs to….

"When a person stops growing, their spirit begins to degenerate. They fall prey to arrogance and begin to look down on others and act naughty. No matter how elevated such a person's social position may be, as a human being they have descended into a wretched life-state.

"Upon attaining positions of authority, many people succumb to the poisonous influences of power, becoming spiritually numb, arrogant, greedy, and self-opinionated....

"

Tho

se who become arrogant and isolated, losing all appreciation for those who have supported them, have already ceased to grow; they have also lost their humanity. Ingratitude is the starting point of the dark and dismal road to decline. This is a principle that applies to individuals, societies, and human history as a whole....

"On the other hand, those who, regardless of status or wealth, put their full effort into the challenges of learning will be able to transform all of their difficulties into strengths, achieve splendid growth, and become talented people who are able to make excellent contributions to society.  This is the right way to live.

"Dewey and Makiguchi each assert that we should not put too much emphasis on what has already happened. We should not dwell on the past. Past achievements are, in a sense, like the ashes remaining after a fire has burned out. The tendency to rest on past achievements is a bad habit shared by many in Japanese society.

''At this moment, am I really learning?' 'At this moment, am I truly developing myself?' By continually asking ourselves these questions, we will grow, and this in turn will be a positive influence on the development of our juniors. This is represented by the Buddhist teaching: 'If you want to understand what results will be manifested in the future, look at the causes that exist in the present' (WND, 279)."

Starting Point to Victory...

KONICHIWA!!

Woohoo…the day has come finally, I’m so happy to be able to take on the responsibility as an assistant YWD leader to support the young women in my district.  (Thanks to Maggie and Sally)….I’m all set and very much looking forward to contribute and working towards kosen rufu!  My prayers did works on me!  I chanted to be able to become an YWD leader soon to support and encourage those in need and glad that this day has come!  I’m ready to take up the challenge.  ^_^

I will take Daisaku Ikeda guidance as a path for me to expand my inner capability to the fullest to help others:  None of us believe from the start that we possess great power and ability.  But when we gain courage from the mentor, the strength to take action and fight wells forth in our lives.  We actually possess that strength and ability within us…After much has said, I want to make a determination to blossom the friendship amongst the existing young women in my district, to make them feel welcome whenever they come for our 4Division Discussion meetings or any other Daimokukai sessions and also to attract new young women to the practice of Nichiren Buddhism.

With my new role in the district and through our “Sunflower Concert on September 10, 2006”- I hope and I want to achieve a breakthrough in my life and the struggles I’m currently facing and most importantly to be able to share this GREAT Buddhism with my friends and colleagues.

I knew that I would have to chant a lot, as this is the starting point for victory.

Last but not least, to my beloved Family members, Sisters, Sunflower Sisters and friends in faith and new friends/members:

Sensei’s Guidance to share with all: “When things get tough, resolve to return to your original purpose. When you form, your heart will also be rejuvenated.  The important thing is whether you are in high spirits. The key is daimoku.  It’s the depth of our daimoku that counts, not the quantity. Your daily gongyo is so to speak, a time to freshen up our spirits and cleanse our lives. Let’s enjoy days of bright and joyous advance based on invigorating morning and evening gongyo and diamoku”.

GANBARRU & GREAT SUCCESS FOR SEPTEMBER 06 CONCERT..

The heart has its reason which reason does not know...

Hmm…It’s another Monday and I have the urge to pen some thoughts down...

A sad thing in life is that there are some things that we never want to let go of or never want to leave behind…like people who had left footprints in our life and some passersby who had an impact on our life.

Well, feelings, memories and emotions often hold us back and obstruct us from moving and carrying on with our missions in life.  That’s really human nature.    But as one is awaken by the truth, letting go isn’t the end of the world.  Rather, it’s the beginning of one new life – a fresh start in creating a new story with a happy ending.  Unfortunately, we can’t ask “Love” to stay, for it has its own time, season and reasons!  We can only embrace it as it comes and be glad that for a moment in our life it was ours!  That is why people usually says “We don’t know what we’ve got until we lose it, but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives”.  Agree??

And we come to love not by finding a perfect person but by learning to see and imperfect person perfectly.  And that is when one starts to ponder and confuse of his or her feelings towards the other party.  Well, I guess true love is when you take away the feeling, the passion and the romance in a relationship and find out that you still care for that person in mind.  Have you ever experience it before?

Hmm…Heartbreaks will last as long as you want and cut deep as you allow them to go; the challenge is to survive from heartbreaks and learn from them.  Agree?  ^_^

                                                           Dear Friends,

Never say goodbye if you still want to try.

Never give up if you still feel you can go on.

Never say you do not love a person anymore if you cannot let go for it hurts deeply.

Something Meaningful...

Courage & Conviction - Daily Encouragement

Dear Friends,

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----

"People who have devoted themselves to working for the welfare of others and society are always strong in a crisis. They have the courage and conviction to face sickness and death with calm composure. And those who fight against illness with the power of faith can elevate their life-state even further. They can encourage others with tremendous resolve. That itself represents a triumph over illness.

"The Austrian psychologist Viktor E. Frankl (1905-97) said: 'We mature in suffering, grow because of it"it makes us richer and stronger.'"
